Galloway Division
Galloway division covers the west of the force area, encompassing the local authority areas of Stewartry, Wigtown and Wigtown West.
Within the mainly rural areas of Wigtown and Wigtown West are the towns of Stranraer, Portpatrick, Glenluce, Newton Stewart and Machars, along with many other smaller villages.
The Stewartry covers a large land mass which includes the main towns of Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie, in addition to many smaller villages.
