Stay Safe

Young or old, male or female, we can all be vulnerable to attacks and thefts. Thankfully, there are a number of methods you can employ to increase personal security. With a little commonsense and planning, the chances of assault can be severely reduced.

  • Look confident when out and about. Make sure your body language looks like you know where you are going and why.
  • Tell someone where you are going, who with and when you'll be back.
  • Carry a personal attack alarm.
  • Do not take short cuts and keep to brightly lit areas at night.
  • Cross the road if you see people you feel suspicious with - head towards a place with lots of people and lights (shop, garage forecourt, etc).

Remember to PLAN

  • Prepare
  • Look confident and let someone know
  • Avoid risks and be aware
  • Never take safety for granted
