Speed Limits

The speed limit is the absolute maximum. It does not mean it is always safe to drive at that speed.

Local police and other agencies are working hard to reduce road casualties. You can help.

Plot your route and check with motoring organisations for any expected road works. Make sure you allow enough time for rest stops and possible delays. Speeding puts you and your passengers at risk.

By far the greatest cause of collisions is people driving too fast for the conditions. Drive within the speed limit and if the weather is bad, slow down and take extra care.

The speed limit is there for safety - please obey it !

Only kill your speed
