Dumfries and Galloway is situated in the South West of Scotland. Covering some 2,649 square miles, the force is divided into two operational policing divisions, Galloway division and Dumfries division.
The Stewartry and Wigtownshire areas of the region are covered by Galloway division, while Dumfries division covers the areas of Annandale & Eskdale and Nithsdale.
