Annandale and Eskdale
Dumfries division covers the east of the force area, encompassing the local authority area of Annandale and Eskdale.
This rural area includes the main towns of Moffat, Lockerbie, Langholm, Annan and Gretna, in addition to many smaller villages.
Being the furthermost eastern region, it provides vital transport links to central Scotland, northern England and Ireland.
